Low-alloy steel
We produce low alloy steel of the following standards :
- ASTM A148
- ASTM A217
- AISI 8620 / AISI 8630
Low alloy steel replaces the 44 W / 50 W types of steel used in the manufacture of plaques and bars for machine shops. Depending on the heat treatment and quenching carried out on low alloy steel, it is possible to obtain a wide range of mechanical properties sought by manufacturers. For example, some alloys in A217 & A487 are designed for use in pressurized vessels in a high temperature environment.
As well as the Chrome-Moly and martensitic series of steel, used mainly because of their impact resistance.
